Governor Natalio F. Beltran III is the only son of the late former Assemblyman, Deputy Minister – DPWH, and Congressman Natalio M. Beltran, Jr. and businesswoman Elsa Fernandez-Beltran. 

He was destined to break records as one of the youngest public servants.  At 26, he was the youngest-ever elected in 1997 as barangay chairman and then the youngest ever elected chapter president of the Liga ng mga Barangay – Manila Chapter. In 2002, he was re-elected as chapter president of the Liga ng mga Barangay – Manila, and subsequently elected as No. 1 Board of Director and national treasurer of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas.

At 36, he was the youngest-ever elected governor in the province of Romblon. The Beltrans have established their residence in Odiongan, Romblon, and maintains the ancestral home in the municipalities of Alcantara and Odiongan, Romblon.

In the early months of 2003, his father was stricken with a lingering illness, and in June of the same year, before succumbing to the call of the his Creator, thrice requested the young Natalio Beltran III, “Anak huwag mong pababayaan ang Romblon. Soon after the death of his father and as an obedient son, the young Beltran III returned and went to visit his ancestral province.   This time it was not a regular visit, he went around the province, and it was then he was fully convinced that much still has to be done and his beloved father has a deeper intention in his dying wish. 

Amidst the skepticism of his partymates and other political analysts in Romblon, he ran for the gubernatorial post and won overwhelmingly in the May 14, 2007 elections.  He was likewise appointed as the assistant treasurer of the League of Provinces of the Philippines.

Among his friends and colleagues, Governor Beltran III is fondly known as “Jojo.” He is married to former Sangguniang Kabataan chairperson and government employee Susan Salcedo Beltran, and they are blessed with three children namely: Natalio IV, Nathaniel, and Nicole. 

Governor Beltran III has a degree in Business Administration from the Philippine School of Business Administration. Prior to entering the political arena, he was branch manager of the family-owned Lambdan Security Agency, Inc.  His managerial skills during the five years in their company has earned the respect of their clients as well as the hundreds of their employees. He is known for his hands-on management and administration of business affairs.
