Alamada, North Cotabato. In 1989, he was elected as one of
the members of the Provincial Board of Cotabato, and served
for three terms until 1998.
The elections of 1998
ushered him into his new position as vice-governor . Over
the next nine years, he worked closely with his local chief
executive to put to work the massive rural infrastructure
development program which served as the groundwork for subsequent
economic gains of the province, as well as in the implementation
of innovative programs aimed at enhancing income opportunities
for people of Cotabato.
