The National Executive Board of the League of Provinces of the Philippines will have its 1st NEB Meeting on 21 August 2004 at the Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Board will discuss and approve the Budget of the League for the remaining fiscal year, the proposed new organizational structure of the League’s Secretariat, and some administrative matters.

The Board will also make its official position on the proposal of Congressman Joey Salceda to reduce the internal revenue allotment (IRA), and clarify the power of general supervision of the President over local chief executives on local disciplinary matters.

Incidentally, an orientation and workshop for first-term Governors, Jumpstarting Local Development: Managing the First Steps, will be held during this time also in Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City.
