The League of Provinces of the Philippines will have its 2nd General Assembly on 6 to 7 September 2004 at the EDSA Shangri-La Plaza Hotel, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.

DILG Secretary Angelo Reyes is invited to deliver a keynote address and to apprise us of his general plans and programs for the coming months.

DBM Secretary Emilia Boncodin, DTI Secretary Cesar Purisima, DOF Secretary Juanita Amatong, BIR Secretary Guillermo Parayno and NEDA Director General Romulo Neri are also invited for a round table discussion on significant economic concerns.

We have likewise invited DAR Secretary Rene Villa and DA Secretary Arthur Yap to impart with us their programs of action affecting local governments. DPWH Secretary Florante Soriquez is also invited to shed light on the impending reclassification of national roads to provincial roads pursuant to the classification criteria set forth by his department.
