Welcome to Cebu

Gov. Gwen Garcia

LPP Regional Chairman for Central Visayas and Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia welcomed the governors who participated in the Peer-to-Peer Orientation for Newly-Elected Governors held last August 17.

She described the activity as serendipitous since the governors were in Cebu to discuss about governance, and it was also in Cebu that governance begun in the Philippines when Spanish explorer Ferdinand Magellan landed in the shores of Mactan.

She also took the opportunity to share the various strides taken by the provincial government, as an undivided and indivisible Cebu, towards achieving development and prosperity.

She took pride in saying that the Cebuanos do not complain, but rather take action on what needs to be done.

DINNER FELLOWSHIP AT THE CEBU CAPITOL. Governors, led by LPP President Gov. Loreto Leo S. Ocampos, pose for a souvenir photo with some of Cebu’s officials led by Gov. Gwen Garcia, her father and 2nd District Rep. Pablo Garcia, 6th District Rep. Nerissa Soon Ruiz and Vice-Gov. Greg Sanchez, during the dinner fellowship. Gov. Garcia hosted the dinner fellowship, where the governors were given a glimpse into the unique and vibrant culture and colors of the Province of Cebu through a presentation from the local cultural groups there.
